Overview

This play will have you laughing, crying, and cheering for the underdog. With the Fourth of July approaching, Carnelle is ready to prove to the world—and herself—that she's more than just a local laughingstock. With the help of a motley crew of characters, including her wild cousin, Delmount, his eccentric sister, Elaine, the feisty and sometimes odd seamstress, Popeye, a balloon man, and a pageant coordinator, Carnelle embarks on a hilarious and strange journey of self-discovery, where she may find that true beauty comes from within. This heartwarming and humorous play is a celebration of the human spirit, resilience, and the power of community, making it a community theatre staple.
