Our Standards

Evansville Civic Theatre is committed to providing a safe, accountable, healthy and respectful work environment for everyone involved in bringing its mission to life. The purpose of sharing our Code of Conduct is to help us work together to create art while ensuring we follow guidelines that hold us to a standard of accountability while working together in the arts.

Attendance

1. It is expected that you be on time and prepared for all rehearsals you are scheduled for and that any conflicts are communicated to the director in advance.

Respect for Others

1. Come to rehearsals prepared and ready to start on time

2. Meet all deadlines set by the director

3. Zero tolerance for physical violence, threats, sexual harassment, violations of the law, destruction or vandalism of property, or any action that creates an unsafe environment

4. Respect the personal space and privacy of fellow students, cast and crew members

5. Follow the health and safety guidelines to help reduce the spread of germs and viruses

6. Communicate with your director/Stage Manager any problems or concerns in a timely manner

Respect for Property

1. Clean up after yourself, leave the space in better condition than it was before. This includes civic Theatre, First Presbyterian Church, and Bosse High school and Auditorium

2. Keep your personal property together and out of the way of others

3. Only handle props, set pieces, costumes, lights, or any items used during production if you are instructed to do so. When you handle these items, treat them with respect and only use them for the purpose they are intended for

4. Respect and care for the tools of this production (Props, costumes, tools, set pieces, make-up and other equipment) by not playing with or harming any of these items. Hurting or damaging these items will reflect poorly on yourself, the group, and may slow down the readiness of the production.

Working with Minors

1. For the safety of all students/parents/volunteers, we have a THREE PER ROOM MINIMUM. No one should enter a room unless there will be a minimum of three in the room.

2. No form of abuse will be tolerated. Confirmed abuse will result in immediate dismissal from our organization. All reports of suspicious or inappropriate behavior with minors or allegations of abuse will be taken seriously. Our organization will fully cooperate with authorities if allegations of abuse are made that require investigation
